You might think that Tramore does not have a huge amount to offer, apart from the welcoming Irish atmosphere that is, but you would be wrong. Just because it is a lesser known tourist area, doesn’t mean that it lacks anything. There are lots to see and do in Tramore and here are just some of those things:
The natural beaches of Tramore are absolutely gorgeous and they are completely free to enjoy – which is always a plus. The beach is a popular location amongst tourists and locals, it’s family friendly and depending on the weather, it offers some amazing views. There are some lovely places to eat near the beach, in addition to some amusement arcades. No holiday is complete without a visit to the beach and the overall appearance of this one might just surprise you.
You don’t have to just sit back and watch all the fun unfold on the beach, so why not learn to surf and join in on the action? The qualified staff at Freedom Surf School teach a wide variety of skills including kite surfing, boating and of course, regular surfing too. This is a great way to have some fun during your holiday and learn some new skills too.
- Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens
These Japanese Gardens are simply stunning and they also tell you a little about the history of the area. Patrick Lafcadio Hearn grew up in Ireland but had much success in Japan and a whole lot of stories to tell due to his literacy knowledge and passion. This garden really tells a story and there are many beautiful things to explore in the area including a waterfall, a pond, woodland, plants and flowers. These gardens are so relaxing and will hopefully make you feel right at home.
