Tourism in Ireland is on the rise, with 2017 being the busiest year yet. It is thought that visitors to the country enjoy the sights, sounds and the overall relaxed atmosphere. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular tourist spots in Ireland and what makes them so.
The Republic of Ireland is very most popular in terms of tourism, particularly Dublin. There are places all over Ireland which have many tourists, however, so let’s have a look at them.
The Cliffs of Moher
Located at County Clare and not too far away from Galway, these cliffs are simply breathtaking. This is a completely natural landmark and that is exactly what makes this spot so beautiful. Take a walk along the cliffs and you’ll see that not even the postcards do them justice. Just don’t look down!
The Little Museum of Dublin
This museum is found in, well, Dublin and it’s a must see if you want to fully learn about the most recent history of the city. There is just the right amount of interesting information and humour thrown into this museum and it really shows off the quirky personality of your average Irish person.
The English Market
If you find yourself in the charming Cork, no visit is complete without visiting The English Market. This market has existed since the 1700’s and it is still going strong. Some of the things you can expect to see here include local produce, seafood, bread, cheese and more. Hungry while there? The Farmgate Restaurant is right there and serves a variety of meals for all different tastes.
The Aran Islands
Three islands make up the Aran Islands and once you experience them, you will feel like you have stepped into a time machine (in the best way possible!) With the most stunning views and classic Irish culture, what’s not to love?
